When the Fresh Food & Beverage Group (part of Migros Industry) decided to build a cutting-edge production hub for fresh bakery goods in Volketswil, Switzerland, one thing was clear: the new facility had to combine uncompromising hygiene, maximum efficiency, and ergonomic working conditions — all in a highly space-constrained environment.
Tasked with producing over 80 different products in varying batch sizes, the project team knew that hygienic product handling was critical not just for food safety, but also for operational performance.
